TESTIMONIES
Khechara, of Klein, Texas a teacher and trainer in the Houston school system and a former member of VFN Spring, Texas says, “There is so much truth and spiritual revelation embedded in the VFNU coursework. I am not the same as when I started, and I know I’ll never be the same again. My whole family is changed because of this program of study. For me there were so many levels and each week things got deeper and more intense. Toward the end my responses would take days to complete because my heart was being ministered to. The teachings on value based time management; financial accountability; spiritual mothers and fathers; the Luke 10 walk; and the Fatal Price of Familiarity have transformed my relationship with God and those around me. My perspective is 1000 times more clear and focused. I am open to the path that is ahead and rejoice at the opportunity of entering the harvest field with a renewed zeal. My eyes are open and my heart and ears hear the voice of God. Brother Greg and the entire leadership team have placed so many treasures and jewels inside of VFNU and I’m honored that these precious teachings are inside of me now!”
Brett, of Pensacola, Florida who presently works at the Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida, keeping our military in safe aircraft and a member of VFN Pensacola and who is stepping out in January to begin a VFN Church plant in Denver Colorado says, “VFNU is completed but it’s only just begun. I am so thankful for the teachings and the revelations and the breaking of all the wrong mindsets about ‘going to the church’ and now ‘becoming the church’. From the very first teaching on Spiritual Family I was drawn in by what God was speaking through Brother Greg. Every teaching, every special session has so many nuggets and treasure to find that I will be going back for further education often. Thank You Brother Greg for your hours of teaching and praying so that we can be launched and empowered for the Great Commission. Thank you Brother Pat and Brother Chris for your hard word so that we could have these teachings online and become equipped for what God is calling us to do. Go and Make Disciples. This has been a lot of hard work but God has been so in this, to hear His voice in all the teachings to receive fresh revelations on His word. In my abiding time on 11-25-11 I was crying out for the harvest and the lost world and calling forth souls and I heard the Lord speak ‘Stay in the Pattern and you will be fruitful’ God is into VFNU to equip us to follow the pattern like a plum line and be fruitful for His Kingdom. Thank You so much I am so grateful for everything.”
Sharon, of Pensacola, Florida (previously from Chicago, IL), who works at Columbia Southern University, attends VFN Pensacola and who is stepping out with her husband, Brett, to plant a VFN Church in Denver, Colorado says, “VFNU has indeed been a journey and I know it's only the beginning. With each session there was learning new lessons, unlearning old lessons, being Wow’d by God’s wisdom, repentance as God revealed my own heart and feeling more prepared for walking in all that God as called me to. I literally and physically felt something in me expanding as I sat through each teaching. Each one is important for every believer. It is also vital in order to hold fast to the vision of VFN and for anyone who is considering being in leadership. It has been a lot of hard work and I had some very hard life circumstances happen as I was going through VFNU but I am so grateful that God (and Brother Greg) has given me so much grace to finish. I am very grateful to have had this opportunity and grateful that it is still all online for me to refer back to. So thank you Brother Pat and Brother Chris for all the endless hours of taping and technology “stuff” to make this so available to all of us and well as all the others to come. And thank you Brother Greg for the sacrifices made to bring us these teachings and to pull all of this together for the glory of God and the advancement of His kingdom.”
Maria, of Newark, New Jersey, a member of VFN Elmwood Park, New Jersey, works at Toys R Us headquarters in New Jersey and is leading VFN Church plant in Bronx, New York, VFN Bronx, NY says, “VFNU has been an amazing journey! I am so to thankful God and Brother Greg for pouring into us. Thank you Pat and Chris for your hard word so that we could have these teachings online and become equipped for what God is calling us to do. Now I know I can save and shepherd the lost by telling them about the gospel, baptizing and making disciples who launch out to do the same, growing the Lord's kingdom to the Father's glory. I am humbled to have been a student of VFNU and part of this incredible family that truly loves God and is fearlessly obeying Him. My heart and my eyes have been opened to so much revelation. It all makes sense. It all comes together perfectly. VFNU is a powerful class that God is using within the VFN family to equip and launch us into our destiny as a child of God. It is all about obedience to the One we love, Jesus Christ. I encourage anyone to attend VFNU and know that you know Jesus is Lord of all and He is looking for willing and humble vessels to reach a lost world with His message. Thank you God for helping me with VNU I love you Jesus……..”
Deborah, of Patterson, New Jersey, who works at a law firm in Patterson, New Jersey and who leads VFN Church plant in Patterson, New Jersey, VFN Patterson, NJ says, “VFNU was an amazing journey for me. I am blessed to have been able to participate and be part of all these teachings and of such an awesome family. I am humbled to have been a student of VFNU and a part of this incredible family that truly loves God and is fearlessly obeying Him. My eyes have been opened to so much revelation from above. It all makes sense. It all comes together perfectly. God wants family that is united with His heart and each other. VFNU equips the believer with knowledge and wisdom. It makes clear God’s love for us and His expectations for us. VFNU is a powerful resource that God is using within the VFN family to equip and launch us into our destiny as a child of God. It is all about obedience to the One we love, Jesus Christ. By the grace of God, I will be an obedient and willing vessel that will seek, save and shepherd the lost by sharing my testimony and the gospel. I will baptize those who believe and make disciples of them by teaching them to love God, love others and to teach others to do the same. VFNU teaches us but it also encourages us in the love of Christ Jesus. I pray that all the VFN family will be able to be a part of VFNU having a desire to love God in obedience by following His heart in advancing His Kingdom all for our Father’s glory. I will treasure all I have learned and with God’s grace walk out what I have learned. It is amazing to know that this is just the beginning. Thank you my Lord and Savior for all you have done and will continue to do in my life. Thank you Brother Greg for the countless hours of teaching and for all your prayers. Thank you Pat and Chris for all the help in the media department and all the love you have shown God’s people. Thank you to all the VFNU students, my brothers and sisters, who have gone on this journey with me. Thank you VFN family for praying for the VFNU students. I love you all!”
Cindy, of Lakeland, Florida, who is over the administration and safety division of Granger Maintenance in Plant City, Florida and has planted the VFN Church, VFN Lakeland, FL says, “Attending VFNU has been an amazing journey! I am so thankful to Brother Greg for pouring into us. This program is not only revelatory; but makes sure and certain your foundation in Christ, His will for our lives, and our part as willing and obedient vessels to seek, save and shepherd the lost by preaching the gospel, baptizing and making disciples who launch out to do the same, growing the Lord's kingdom to the Father's glory. I also wanted to say that all those who had a hand in bringing these classes to fruition have presented everything in an excellent manner maintaining a holy reverence to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For anyone wanting to launch out into the harvest field, I encourage you to attend VFNU and know that you know that you know...Jesus is Lord of all and He is looking for willing and humble vessels to reach a lost world with His message - not ours - Doing it all with His heart and His way for His glory and not our own.”
Pat says, Coming into VFNU I really didn’t know what to expect. I knew God had called me to be a church leader but what does that look like for me?
Once the class started God began to give me courage and confidence in Him in what He has built in VFN over the last several years. It’s about being a FAMILY like I do every day with my own. Just loving the people. The pattern had been laid and my job was to let Him lead and the Holy Spirit work through me.
The most amazing thing and the scariest for me during the class was when Brother Greg asked us to write a vision for our church. That would have paralyzed me years ago. I never thought I could write a vision for something so important. When I was in school as a kid I would be so terrified of looking foolish I wouldn’t even try to do a book report or science projects or other creative things that required me writing something from the heart. But this time I aloud the Lord to write it through me. After much prayer and seeking God on what He wanted me to believe for, it just came out to my amazement. When He’s in it you can’t believe big enough. I just need to get my faith to a higher level which requires SPIRITUAL EXERSIZE.
I knew after VFNU was over that this was just the beginning of a new chapter in my walk with the Lord. We are going to places I’ve never been before; I’m going to see things I’ve never seen before; and I couldn’t be more excited about it. My heart’s desire now is to fulfill everything He wants to accomplish with His Church. Making disciples for Jesus.
God is so in this and I know He is going to do awesome things through us. And I know He will do the same for you.
Just like there is a forest of trees inside every acorn that falls to the ground, there are 1000’s of churches inside each and every one of us if we allow God to plant us for His purpose. “COME AND PLANT”
Yes Lord, here am I, send me!
Daphne says, From the first class to the last meeting the Holy Spirit hovered over the to birth the VFN Vision into my spirit bringing the vision from my mind and dropping it into my heart.
I was brought from the mindset of the knowledge of the vision to the spirit of understanding (revelation) that every part, every step of the VFN pattern came through revelation vision to our spiritual father, our apostle Brother Greg so that now I am fully convinced that in Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through Him God will use me to advance His kingdom if I simply follow the VFN Pattern. The pattern is from God and holy. I will honor God by following his pattern.
VFNU shows how to lead others to Jesus, disciple them and train them up to be launched so that they too will repeat the pattern of loving God, loving others, and leading others to do the same.
We all came to class during the week at the end of the work day tired and hopeful that God would give us grace to focus, hear and understand what the Lord wanted us to receive at VFNU. As soon as we began to fellowship and have a meal together I was revived. By the last week of school I was so alert and energetic as I went about my daily responsibilities that I knew without doubt that God had strengthened me! I believe that this was God affirming me; very encouraging! I am convinced that the VFN pattern is a divine revelation from God and by following the pattern God will grow His church!
Anyone who is a born again discipled believer and is rightly related can follow the pattern to grow and train up God’s church and increase His kingdom!
Steve says, When I started, I didn't know what to expect, I just knew I was hungry for more of what The Lord had in store. To see the whole vision, the whole revelation in one 14 page document brought everything to light. I've been told so many times that everything I've been seeing was written down on a napkin over and over and over again. To see what I see with my eyes, all together on paper brought so many things together! To see the pattern written down, that has been led every week opened my eyes to how important and vital it is. This is what sets us apart as VFN. ALL OF THIS was given by GOD. EVERYTHING. From EVERY word, to EVERY transition, to every RELATIONSHIP. I can't begin to describe what that was like "flipping through" the vision. Like getting spray painted "with years and years of unseen work that was done ever before you came along just to get this moment to happen" across your spirit.
Being able to practice being the Church Leader and prepare mentally, physically and spiritually before the church arrives and guide fellowship was a great learning experience. To see what is done not only just on the day of fellowship but continually daily, really brings to light the life of the shepherd. To always walk in the concerns and prayers for those entrusted to you. For me, I'm a thinker, and being able to see how the family just flows and it’s not just events or transitions, but the family was a big learning point for me.
There were so many things brought to light throughout the classes: words that we use in our language loosely spoken and foggy mindsets just to name a few that were corrected and righted to be understood in order to walk with the calling of a shepherd.
Being guided and instructed to write my own vision down helped me immensely in the thoughts I have for future things with God. Not only did having a vision set the course for what I think on, but it is the plumb line for what I do, daily. Absolutely imperative.
During one of the classes we got to talk from one of the recent Church Leaders that was recently planted. Hearing how hey was called, his path, his ups AND downs and how Father guided him to establish HIS church was BEYOND encouraging. When you get the opportunity to discuss, talk, and listen to those who have gone before you, that is the pinnacle of wisdom. What a blessing!
Father confirmed this transition and His calling in my life SOOO MANY time and in SOOOO MANY ways! And now, just after graduation, I see myself physically, mentally and spiritually in the calling that I hazily viewed when I started. I'm not doing this alone, the love of Father, the presence of Jesus Christ, the love of my apostle, my VFN family, is who is standing alongside me each and every time I'm led to reach out to someone who does not have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Marjane says, When VFNU first began I was excited about the wisdom i would gain and I knew I would feel more confident and prepared when the classes were completed. I did know though that at the start of VFNU I was not ready to be launched out as I realized I have had a confidence in myself not in God to accomplish what He wants and now through attending VFNU I feel a change in my heart where I can see that it is God and that I was dealing with fear and pride relying on my abilities as if I was could do anything in my own strength. I was so encouraged and affirmed. God did a work in my heart and my life overall. My spirit now knows truly God is with me. I have more vision and clarity of the pattern of VFN. I learned much more than I could have expected to learn there was so much wisdom poured out. One thing I did not realize was that I would feel the anointing on my life after the launched to do all God has called me to do. I now feel more confidence, boldness and faith. I'm so grateful to God for all He has done. I see going through VFNU was a vital part of what I and many others are called to do. It will raise your certainty that God is with you and you are called to something much bigger than yourself. You’ll discover that God Himself will impart into you what you’ll need to launch out to be able to Loving God Loving others and leading others to do the same.
Traci says, My husband and I had been preparing our home several years for ministry. We somehow always knew that the Lord was calling us to more than working quietly behind the scenes. Yet, when the actual call came, I suddenly felt quite unprepared.
VFNU was God’s answer to my prayers. There were so many questions and unknowns, not to mention the business of life with a family and full time career. God is so good. He knows the answer before we ask the question.
The precepts built in the VFNU classes filled in the blanks. The foundation built first regarding the importance of faith, vision and the pattern were full of revelation and depth. I suddenly saw a 360 degree view of the kingdom of God and the church; the way it will be, as well as the way it is currently.
We learned about God’s heart for his people, as well as our entrustment, and were given a wealth of knowledge and resources that will be an invaluable help to our call. The love and wisdom gained during VFNU has given me confidence to boldly stand in my call and walk in God’s pattern, helping to seek and save the lost and make disciples of those He is calling.
Chris says, Before we even started VFNU, Brother Greg approached me about being a church leader. My first thought was, “that’s not what I was called to do, my ministry is the media dept. not a church leader.” But as he began to explain it to me and showed me the pattern, I saw this is what we are all called to do, above any other gifting and talent God has given us to use in the Kingdom. Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20,
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
This is the command that Jesus gave us and to what we are all called to do, make disciples. We are all given many talents to use while advancing the Kingdom but to advance the Kingdom we must “go” and let others know that Father loves them and wants to have a relationship with them and we use our talents and gifting to help us accomplish this. This was one of the most important lessons I learned going through VFNU.
And going through the course God began to pour out such a vision into my heart. To see his people set free, for them to come to know Him not just about Him but to know Him intimately to know that He loves them and has a plan for their life, but to do that I had to get outside of my mind and begin to trust the Holy Spirit letting him guide me and give me the words that he wants to say. Luke 12:12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
At first I was fearful to approach anyone but God began to bring people into my path to talk to and even showed me the people right in front of me that He wanted to know. And the more I opened my mouth the more bold I got. Going through VFNU has given me confidence and has taught me the simplicity of the Gospel and showed me how to love others and lead others to do the same.
Donna says, From the beginning of the start of class, I sat amazed at the anointing of what was being taught and seeing firsthand the vision of Vine Fellowship Network University coming to pass. What I didn’t know is how God would minister to me personally and begin a work in me that I had been crying out to Him to deliver me from for a very long time.
The process of writing out our personal vision allowed me to see where I fit in VFN and how I am a part of this awesome work that God is doing. I had studied VFN’s vision in my abiding time for weeks and then writing out my personal vision allowed the two to come together and see beyond what was in front of me to see what is before me and the things that are to come as I walk out my vision. I was strengthened and encouraged to push through the tests and trials that have hindered my walk with the Lord to see that I am a part of something that is beyond my imagination. I am so inspired in my heart of how God chose a man and gave him a vision and he faithfully is walking out what God has said and the vision is speaking so much more than what I could comprehend.
One thing that resounds in my heart is to see the pattern of VFN and for everyone to realize that we have the pattern; you just have to do the pattern and allow God to work through us and then be there to be God’s hands, feet, arms and mouth to surround others with the love of God.
Renee says, In the beginning I didn’t know quite what to expect from attending VFNU. I knew that God was working something into me for a long time even before we started, but being a Pastor and full time church leader responsible for the spiritual lives of those who have been called by God Almighty to Himself was not what I originally had in mind. Since my walk with the Lord began I knew He had called me for works of service and I have been operating in this anointing quietly in the back ground for some time. My motto was: Give me a task and I will be happy to take care of that for you Pastor to free you up for taking care of and leading the flock. I certainly did not feel equipped to be a church leader or pastor of a flock myself. But of course I was thinking of my own power and ability and of this I had to repent. It is not by my own power, wisdom or ability that I was called to this service for our Lord, but through His anointing on Brother Greg that came down to me by the laying on of hands as Paul did for Timothy. And this humbling anointing that I have been gifted has been fueled by the understanding and wisdom that has come from going through VFNU.
VFNU has given my confidence a much needed jump start as I begin to walk out this call as an overseer of God’s people. My confidence is not in myself but in the power, presence and hand of our Lord Jesus Christ that will be working in and growing up his flock as I move.
This VFNU class has opened my eyes and made me ask myself who have I been working for; the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Me? I chose the Kingdom of God!!
In the beginning of this class I didn’t see very clearly, but as we progressed class by class the revelation opened up further and further and I began to see myself in the role and functioning in the role that God has called me to and that is to fulfill his Great Commission, and so will you. Jesus tells us what he expects of us in Mat 28:18-20 "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. {19} Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, {20} and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." This is the calling for every believer.
He provided the pattern and VFNU to train up and guide and all we have to do is stay with it and he will bring to pass his will and his kingdom, the church the body of Christ
